Pianist, Mabel Kwan will be giving a solo recital at the 2008 Sonic Fusion Festival in Edinburgh. "Veiled Reverie" for solo piano will be premiered along with works by Kirsten Broberg, David Grant, Ailig Tomas, Kunsu Shim, Gerhard Staebler, Gyorgy Ligeti, and Jo Kondo Ritornello.

Townsend's composition, "The Ridgefield Rag," a piece
for piano four-hand and orchestra, will be performed
on opening night of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra's
'08-'09 season. The performance of "The Ridgefield Rag" is part of the town's tri-centennial celebration;
and Townsend is dedicating the piece (which was written in Ridgefield) to the townspeople
of Ridgefield for their special anniversary. Townsend
was awarded a Meet the Composer grant for his participation in events surrounding this performance.
